geographic locations and technologies
Greetings to you Zachary Young. I enjoyed your post and I second you on your opinion regarding geographic locations and technologies. New technologies development varies on various cultures depending on their needs (Epstein & Buhovac, 2014). Other Geographical factors that affect the introduction of technologies apart from location involves; climate, resources and stability. Geographic location defines where countries and their subsequent regions are found globally. The climatic conditions may vary among regions depending on their locations whereby, where there is cold climate, technologies to add warmth are introduced while in very hot regions, technologies to reduce the level of warmth such as fans are introduced. The technologies required by various regions vary depending on their stability in that, for regions which are stable at all sectors will require little or less new technology, unlike regions which are less stable. Regions with inadequate resources may require new techniques to add onto their existing resources.

Greetings to you Stephen Peterson. I support you that the eight geographical regions globally are different culturally because of the type of technology they need. The location of the continent from the equator is the major climatic effect. Countries near the equator tend to experience high temperatures as sun’s rays directly face them thus, the need to acquire new technologies and adapt to them to ensure temperatures within the region are at normal levels. On the other hand, countries further from the equator have their climatic conditions changing. They experience both hot and cold weather (Conesa, Gonzalez, Valero-Valenzuela, García-Pallarés, & Cruz-Sánchez, 2016). These countries with varying weather conditions will require technologies for keeping their climate standardized. During very cold seasons, they will require equipment such as heaters and vice versa. In return, each country is used and has adapted to their ways of survival. Hence the justification that the location drives technology and technology drives culture.
Again, great posts!
