What role did the Crusades play in the politics of Europe and the Muslim world?
The Crusades were terrible events of an attempt to rid a religion and a civilization due to religious bigotry. Arabs and Muslims’ presence in their own lands and countries were subject to Western rejection and eviction. Pope Urban II initiated the First Crusade (1096-1099) in an attempt to distract rulers of Europe from fighting each other and form a common enemy, which were the Muslims who controlled the Holy Land. They launched multiple crusades over the next two hundred years. The Crusades hold a grievance in the Middle East when they think about the relations with Europe and the West, which is not an unreasonable attitude considering European Christians launched two hundred years of unprovoked attacks on the Middle East out of a religious fanaticism and blood-lust. Even today you can still continue to notice the current Western political rhetoric and hostility of Muslims with the influence of the Crusades.

Byzantine Empire is well known for being the first empire to have complete authority on the Christian church and for having worldly power. Science and technology wasn’t the only thing that the Byzantine Empire contributed that was important but also public debate. They believed that having a proper way to talk in front of an audience is important. For the Islamic, the book of Qu’ran was everything to them; all their teachings and beliefs are from the book. The Islamic contributed in science, math, technology and in Industry. Many people do not know most of the contributions that they did but they did a lot of things that most people did not think it was from them. Just like the Islamic civilization, India also contributed in science and in technology. They were contributing to science before the laboratories were set up and they also contributed in Math. Chinese civilization contributed in art, literature, science and technology.
