The article expounds on the useful work done in mobile transactions, mobile database environment and also further and gives an overview of the proposed models in the mobile transactions. This shows the aid that the mobile techniques have in enhancing the transaction execution. The article is in line with the course as it tries to expound on mobility on data transaction and also goes further to explain the various models that can be implemented.

According to Mobarek, Abdelrhman, Abdel-Mutal, Adam, Elbadri and Ahmed (2015) the mobile database environment is vital as without a convenient environment the whole exercise would experience some technical and physical hitches. Traditionally according to this article database was processed by the immobile processing unit and this is in processing and users in the data specific processing time. In mobile database which is an improvement of the traditional method, the users communicate without wire, and this is enabled through the use of wireless communication. In this stream, radio frequency is used to establish the communication link. The data is then transmitted through a range of radio frequency known as a band. The data management, therefore, has to link all the aspects and consider variable factors like the distance for it to be effective.

The article also goes further to explain the various mobile transaction models that are applicable in different environments. The various models outlined in the article are Twin Transaction Model and Clustering transaction model which are commonly used. The article also expounds on Surrogate Object-Based Mobile Transaction Model and its uses as well as Two-Tier transaction model, Pro-motion transaction model, Adaptable Mobile Transaction Model, PMTM, Shadow Paging Technique, Connection Fault-Tolerant Model, MDSTPM (Multi-database Transaction Processing Manager architecture) and Kangaroo Transaction Model, are also discussed in details (Mobarek et al., 2015). The models are characterized in accordance with the environment, and a certain model is applicable in a certain environment and therefore calling for keenness when selecting the model to apply.

According to Mobarek et al. (2015) the poor quality in mobile transactions can increase cost and also negatively affect the concurrency control in resolutions of data conflicts and end up demanding more time to be completed. Some of the methods that can be applied to improve are Short Duration Locks, Optimistic concurrency control, Low Isolation Level and pessimistic concurrency control.
